Yokoo Shun (Japanese: 横尾瞬) and Satou Yomogi (Japanese: 佐藤蓬) are a duo of 3rd year middle school students at Kamome Gakuen's middle school division. Due to how often they are close together, they are commonly just addressed as "Yokoo and Satou" by the majority of the students. They are close friends with Minamoto Kou, and knew Mitsuba Sousuke when he was still alive. They first appear in Chapter 18

Appearance[]

Yokoo Shun is a tall boy with light brown hair and eyes.

Satou Yomogi is shorter, with dark brown hair and eyes. It is unclear whether his bangs fall left or right.

They both wear the Kamome Gakuen middle school uniform. While they are cleaning the pool in Shijima's world, Yokoo is shown wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and a orange towel with a small boat symbol on it around his neck; Satou is shown in a blue and white collared shirt and black shorts. Yokoo has also been shown wearing a shirt with the insignia of a boat and his name on it. They have also been shown wearing student council armbands.

Yokoo appears to have a cheerful and relaxed predisposition, often shown smiling.

Yokoo has been confirmed to enjoy sports, introduced in Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun as "Kou's friend who likes sports", along with being shown running and playing soccer. When he speaks, there is often a tilde (~) at the end of his sentences. Despite enjoying sports, he doesn't like his older sister Yokoo Minami so much, despite her being a sports ace.

Satou[]

Satou has been confirmed to enjoy baking, such as in Chapter 59 when he shows up to class with a bag of cookies, saying, "I got on a roll and couldn't stop". When talking, he often references different types of pastries. This is because his family owns a sweets shop.

Satou prefers cola, while Yokoo prefers iced tea.
Yokoo is a terrible baker, despite trying his best.
They are both part of the Middle School Committee, helping with the overnight study trip and helping the High School Committee in Chapter 65.
Yokoo is commonly seen associated with a boat symbol.
- In Shijima's world, Yokoo bakes boat-shaped cookies.
The two seem to care very much about Kou, such as when they tried to help court Yashiro for him^[1].
They both develop small crushes on Aoi, but it dissipates after Akane beats them with a bat.
Satou's name is a homonym for the Japanese word for sugar, a reference to the fact that he likes sweets.^[1]
Yokoo gets excited after seeing lightning flashes, while Satou prefers to stay at home after witnessing them.^[2]
Yokoo dislikes snowy weather, since he can't play sports and is weak to cold, while Satou doesn't mind snow, as he considers summers to be worse. ^[3]
Yokoo's given name, Shun, means "blink". It might be related to how his eyes are usually drawn very large and bright.
Satou's given name, Yomogi, comes from a plant that's popularly used in making Japanese sweets, like kusa mochi. He was named after it because his family owns a sweets shop.
Yokoo's older sister is Yokoo Minami. It is unsure whether Satou has an older sibling or if Minami's Friend is his older sister.
