Sumire Residence is the home of Akane Sumire.

Her surname was confirmed to be Akane in Chapter 70 (by Teru), but this article will be under her first name to avoid ambiguations with Akane Residence (alternatively known as Aoi's current home).

Sumire's home is a one-story traditional Japanese home (also known as a minka). There is a large wooden veranda surrounding the vicinity of the house and a gilded roof above. The interior of the home consists of tatami floor matting, cabinets and shelves storing possessions, and candles acting as sources of light.

She created a lightning barrier around her house to prevent Hanako and Nene from escaping her home easily.

Locations[]

Garden[]

The garden was the first place Hanako and Nene found themselves in before being discovered by the villagers. The garden is simply a large open space housing a cluster of jizo statues, which are small stone statues placed down every time a child is offered to God. There is a circle of woods surrounding the circumference of this clearing.

Kitchen[]

After rescuing the two and bringing them inside her home, she welcomes them in the first room (resembling a kitchen) through the front door. There's a small wooden table in the middle of room with a plate of herbs and a wax candle holder, as well as a stone kiln occupied with a cauldron.

Bathroom[]

The bathroom is located in a narrow building adjacent to the outdoor veranda where Hanako-kun was idling. One of the walls is lined with compartment cabinets, with one of them carrying No.6's skull that Sumire managed to keep away. There are several wicker baskets carrying clean towels. In the next room with a hollow doorway is a small, rectangular bathtub with a wooden lid set to the side. As Nene and Sumire were changing clothes, there was a stand mirror in the corner of the room.

Guest Bedroom[]

It is noted that Sumire's home may have more than one bedroom, considering she says she sleeps in her own room while Hanako and Nene were given her guest room with additional futons. There are several paper lanterns placed around the room alongside candlelight.
