The High School Division's Monster (高等部の怪 Kōtō-bu no kai?) is the tenth chapter of the spin-off Houkago Shounen Hanako-kun.
Summary[]
Yokoo is discussing Kou's recent crush with Satou, who is eating sweets. So, they decided to visit the High School Division building to find Kou's crush. Just then, Aoi passes by them calling for Yashiro. Yokoo notes that Yashiro is cute, and Satou thinks that she would like sweets that focus on decoration and presentation over flavour. They then practice their speech of promotion for Kou, and Yokoo starts to walk in to present it, but Satou stops him and tells him the Aoi is ultra-cute. They say that they would like to date her, but is interrupted by Akane, asking them to repeat who they wanted to date, while standing above them wielding his bat/club.
Afterwards, Aoi tells Yashiro of a rumour that a monster in the High School Division has been appearing recently, and when the Middle School Division kids come over, it appears out of nowhere. Yamabuki Lemon also says that the monster carries a club and that apparently, two people were killed. Yashiro thinks that the monster is scary, and Akane, quietly listening to the conversation, agrees with her.
It is also said that Akane Aoi is Aoi's childhood friend who likes her to an abnormal extent.
