This unnamed Church Leader is a mysterious character that appears in Dear My Living Dead. He is the leader of the Church that is responsible for keeping the towns safe from the Living Dead, thanks to their use of Necromancers.

He offers that protection to the towns, on the condition that they follow all the rules of the Church, and he is willing to host public executions of rulebreakers or "Traitors" as he deemed them, to make that point clear to the townsfolk.

Appearance[]

When he first appears, the Church Leader wears a hat and a mask that features a single large eye in the front, and bandages over where his mouth, cheeks and chin should be. On his body, he wears a long coat or a cassock, and he wears a cravat tie that sticks out of his neckline and hangs up to his upper chest area.

When in private, he removes his mask, and although not much of his face is seen, what can be seen is his lower face, including the mouth, cheeks and chin. From there, one can tell that the Church Leader is a middle-aged or early old-aged man, with some wrinkles and a short beard that shows his age.

Personality[]

While not much personality can be shown from the Church Leader, he is shown to be very strict with enforcing the rules of the Church, and he makes public executions of people that broke any of the Church's rules, especially the rule on giving up children with the Necromancer's Mark at the age of 5. He deems such rulebreakers as "Traitors", and indirectly says that the punishment for breaking any of the rules is Death.

In that moment, the Church Leader is also shown to be ruthless, using such public executions as warnings to the townsfolk that in exchange for their protection, they must follow their rules to the letter, or else face the consequences of being executed as traitors.

The Church Leader is also intrigued on what actions some of the Necromancers have done, and what they might do in the future, as he muses over Lilia's attempts to escape the Church and the fact that her parents have taken her for dead, as well as Cult's loyalty to the Church being so strong that he would not listen to her pleas.
